1. What is Mobile Yellow Pages (MYP)?
MYP is Yellow Pages on your mobile phone, allowing you to find out required telephone numbers anytime, anywhere, quickly.

Search for a business by type, name or location and receive multiple search results on your mobile phone.

Example of business type with location: "japanese restaurant marina square"
Example of business name with location: "sakae sushi marina square"

Send text via sms to 77777 with a business type and your location and we will send you back with the results.

 
   

 

 

2. How does MYP work?
Simply text the business name, then a "at", "@" and your location.
Eg: sakae sushi at marina square
or eg: sakae sushi @ marina square

Then send the text request to 77777 and we will send you back with the results.

3. How much does it cost?
Currently, each request sent is free-of-charge.

 
   

 

 

4. Do I have to register for this service?
You do not have to register to use MYP service. You just need to send your request via sms to 77777 and we will send you business contact numbers and addresses by text.

 
   

 

 

5. How do I stop messages being sent to me?
We only send messages in response to the text messages that you sent to 77777.

Hence if you do not send messages to 77777, you will not receive messages from MYP.
 
   

 

 

6. Which networks does MYP work on?
MYP works for all three mobile network operators; SingTel, M1 and StarHub.

 
   

 

 

7. Which mobile phones does the service work on?
Any mobile phone with sms messaging function.

 
   

 

 

8. How many listings will I receive?
You will receive as many randomly selected business listings as we can fit into 320 characters (160 characters as the maximum size of a text message), up to 2 messages.

 
   

 

 

9. I have received an error message. What am I doing wrong?
MYP is an automated system. As a result it can only process requests in a certain format. Please ensure your request meets the following criteria:

• The request contains a business type and a location only, separated by a space.
• The business type is served by MYP. Please click here for the list of  businesses.
• There is no punctuation (there can only be a space between the business type and location).

The error message could also be due to a possible failure of network coverage or due to SMS congestion faced by the mobile network operators.

 
   

 

 

10. Will I be charged for using the service if it fails during a request?
No, charges are only applied to successfully completed requests.

 
   

 

 

11. Is this service case sensitive?
No, you can enter lower case, upper case or any combination.

 
   

 

 

12. Which businesses are covered by MYP?
There are more than 50 types of businesses served by MYP.

No, this service is only available to postpaid mobile subscribers.
